Born & raised in Canada, Michiko has always had a passion for the Arts. She studied makeup artistry in LA  and then moved to NYC, where she continued her studies, focusing on hair.  Michiko is based in New York City where she has been working as a celebrity and editorial hairstylist and makeup artist.  

Her work can be seen on the covers of Numero Homme, Interview, Hamptons as well as New York Magazine as well as publications in glossies Italian Vogue weddings, NY Magazine Weddings, Bridal Guide Magazine, W Magazine, Vanity Fair and dozens more.  She worked for 10 years as Yoko Ono's Lennon personal makeup artist and has also worked with many celebrities including Bobby Flay, Eva Longoria, Pharrell Williams, Ashley Graham to name a few.  During Fashion Week, Michiko has worked in New York, London, Milan & Paris on top hair teams on shows including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen, and Marc Jacob shows. Michiko works as a platform educator in hair styling as well as hair and makeup for commercials, videos and television.  She has made many appearances on TV as a beauty expert and is a regularly sought after hair stylist and makeup artist not only in the editorial world but for red carpet appearances, special events and weddings. She is a member of IATSE Local 798 Union for hair.  In her free time, Michiko stays busy spending her time with her husband and chasing after her two young children.
